Lights. Camera. Action… Oradell Public Library Fourth Fridays Film Series at 2 p. m.

On Friday, April 27, 2012, the Library is presenting in the lower level Meeting Room the fourth installment in its Fourth Fridays film series the film The Gospel According to St. Matthew (Italian: Il Vangelo secondo Matteo, 1964), the controversial, but moving account of the life of Jesus as envisioned by the famed avant-garde Italian poet and filmmaker Pier Paolo Pasolini, a noted Communist, atheist, and homosexual.

We invite the public join us for a brief lecture on the featured film by a film expert, the viewing on our 58” flat screen TV, and a brief question and answer period following the film.

The public is encouraged to relax and enjoy this offering in comfortable state-of-the-art surroundings.

The Library is observing Mother’s Day by hosting a meet and greet with book-signing with life and creativity coach Julia Roberts, presenting her book on “unpregnancy”,
From Motherhood to Otherhood.

This free event is sponsored by the Friends of the Library who will be providing refreshments in the South Reading Room.
